By far my favorite general-use mouse August 31, 2010 Jonathon Wright (Area 51 - B) Fits my hand perfectly, looks very nice, slides smoothly, never bugged out with the laser, etc..
That said, the scroll wheel on the first one I owned was somewhat unreliable and eventually died, and was followed by the left-click. Bear in mind, however, that I'm an avid player of various games and have a compulsive habit of slamming my index finger down on the left mouse button VERY hard every few minutes when I get restless, so the latter may be entirely my fault.
...and I have no idea what "customizability" means here.
Very disappointed August 28, 2010 Julie Mockerman 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the silent click of this mouse, and it fits my hand perfectly. However, I have now tried it on 3 different computers, some with Windows Vista and with Windows 7, and it freezes up the computer every time, no matter which one I have installed it on. I'm so sad, because I really was looking forward to using this delightful little mouse. I really think I have tried it fairly, but it's just not at all usable.
The perfect portable wireless mouse! August 22, 2010 David McCulley (Lubbock, TX) If you like being able to slip a perfectly sized portable mouse in your laptop bag, know that it will work on practically any surface, is accurate and responsive, then this is a mouse that will fit the need. I've bought four of these for four different laptops and desktops. Right now, the price is right too.
Not Very Durable August 13, 2010 Shawn Tunney I got the Explorer Mini Mouse from Microsoft as a replacement for my defective Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000. It was a decent mouse and was fairly accurate with a decent range. (Notice WAS.)
First big problem with the mouse is there is no on/off switch. While that might not seem like a big deal, it increases the amount of times you have to plug/unplug the USB receiver. Which is the second problem with this mouse: the receiver is cheap and flimsy. After only a few months the receiver started to stop working and dropping its connection with the mouse. Since there is no sync button for this mouse, I would have to hold the off switch on the mouse and restart it. Shortly, the receiver stopped working all together, turning my mouse into a pretty glowing paperweight.
Since Microsoft sent me a mouse with no PID number on the bottom, their customer service reps have pretty much told me I'm SOL. Going to switch to Logitech for my next mouse purchase.
