2 out of 5 stars works okay... but for the same price you can get a much better mouse   September 6, 2010
ibra
I bought this mouse to use with my laptop, and from the start I disliked it. It kept disconnecting, so I constantly had to hold down the connect button (which is way too small to press with your fingers) and half the time that would not work. The mouse works on almost no surfaces because of the dumb pads that are on the bottom. also the range is horrible; after moving more than a yard away from the receiver, the mouse would automatically disconnect and the only way to get it to start again was to press the tiny connect button on the bottom of it. the design of the mouse is also stupid. the only way to turn it off is by unplugging the fat receiver and snapping it into the bottom. this makes it so you can't just leave the receiver in when you are done using it, but instead have to constantly take it out and put it back in the computer (and then, once again, click the dreaded connect button). The only reason I give this 2 stars is because it was extremely easy to set up and the mouse is very portable. after about a month I went out and bought the logitech M305, which I HIGHLY recommend. there is no connect button (thank god), the receiver is tiny so you can leave it in your laptop, and the mouse works on almost every surface. 3 out of 5 stars Terrible battery consumption and bulit quality   September 4, 2010
Eric
I bought it at $10 deal. Everything work great after a month. The battery cover locking latch broke after a month but it can easily to glue back. Microsoft states the battery can last at least six months but mine only last for a month in continuous use. In considering for $10, I can accept the defect. I would not recommend this mouse if over $10 by its quality.

4 out of 5 stars Good but small range   September 3, 2010

This mouse is great the only problem is that the range is too weak and I wish it could go further. Just that is bad about it I think but the rest is perfect

2 out of 5 stars For a Little More Money, Buy a Better Mouse   September 2, 2010
SUCHU
I bought this mouse because it is under $20. The appearance and the color of the mouse are nice, but it does not work very well. The click sound is kind of noisy. What's worse is the scroll wheel. It makes a loud noise when it scrolls up. It is not as bad when I [scroll down].The mouse is very precise when it comes to moving around the page. You have to refocus your spot several times before it can locate the exact spot you are getting at. Comparing with the other Logitech notebook mouse I have, the Microsoft mouse is more poorly made. The USB transmitter is too long and does not fit on to the mouse nicely. The worst part of all is that it does not work even on a flat desk surface. I had to use a notebook as a mouse pad for it to function.

My recommendation is to spend a little more money and get a better mouse. You will regret if you get this one.

1 out of 5 stars Stopped working within 2 weeks   August 31, 2010
Deborah (Arizona)
It was good and very easy to use at first, but stopped working within a few weeks of purchase, even after replacing the batteries several times.
