This fan solved the overheating problem for my laptop. People have complained about the blades bottoming-out and that just hasn't happened with mine. My laptop is a 14". One thing that has happened is a short in the cord that caused the fan to stop working. At first I thought the fan had died, but I simply taped the cord, just above the usb plug, to my computer and now it runs without problem. The cord just needs to be held up vertically by the piece of tape. The fan is strong enough to bring my "formerly dead" computer back to life.

Received the item quickly, only to find that it made a loud clicking noise. The mount securing the fan in place is made out of cheap plastic and was already broken. When the fan turned on, it would wobble (since the mount was broken) and hit the side of the unit.
It was burnt after a week August 31, 2010

It was good for a week, but after that, I smelled something burning. It was from this fan. The motor for this fan looks very simple and not well-made. That's probably why the life time is too short.

KYGAH
I use this for my AppleTv. Plugs into the USB port on my ATV, it's silent, keeps it cool, and has a cool blue glow.
What's not to like? It's cheap too!
